This Privacy Policy explains how MyAbhyaash collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our platform — including our mobile app, web app, and college administrator dashboard. We are committed to handling your data with transparency and care.

MyAbhyaash is operated by Nexum Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (Government of Nepal Registration No. 393523/82/83).

2. How Accounts Are Created

MyAbhyaash does not allow self-registration. All student accounts are created exclusively by MyAbhyaash administrators following a partnership agreement between MyAbhyaash and your college. The process works as follows:

1. College and MyAbhyaash sign a partnership agreement
2. MyAbhyaash admin generates student credentials (username and password)
3. Credentials are provided to your college administrator
4. College administrator distributes credentials to students
5. Students log in using credentials provided by their college

3. Information We Collect

Student Information

• Registration Data: Full name (required), email address (optional), college affiliation
• Academic Data: Practice session history, answers submitted, scores, performance analytics, identified weak areas
• Device Data: Device ID, operating system version, app version, IP address
• Usage Data: Login timestamps, session duration, feature usage, study patterns, daily practice consistency

College Administrator Information

• Admin Account Data: College name, administrator email, password (hashed), login history
• Student Batch Data: Aggregated performance metrics, enrollment data, credential usage and distribution
• Notification Data: Push notification preferences, announcement message history

4. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the platform
• Generate personalized analytics and weak-area detection
• Display performance metrics, leaderboards, and readiness scores
• Send push notifications (with your consent)
• Comply with legal obligations
• Prevent fraud and ensure security
• Conduct anonymous educational research (with aggregated data only)

5. Data Security

All data transmitted to and from MyAbhyaash is encrypted using TLS 1.2+. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Access to production databases is restricted to authorized personnel only. We conduct regular security audits and penetration tests.

Note: No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we implement strong security measures, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

• Active Students: Data retained during subscription + 90 days after expiry
• Inactive Accounts: Deleted upon institutional request or 2 years of inactivity
• Logs: Server logs retained for 30 days
• Backup Data: Retained for 30 days, then deleted

7. Third-Party Services

MyAbhyaash uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase Cloud Messaging: For push notifications (Google Privacy Policy applies)
• AWS: For hosting, storage, and CDN services (AWS Privacy Policy applies)
• AI Services: For analytical insights (non-PII data only)

We do not sell, trade, or rent student data to third parties.

8. Student Rights

• Access: You can request all your personal data at any time
• Correction: You can update or correct your data through the app
• Deletion: You can request account deletion (contact: support@myabhyaash.com)
• Portability: We provide data export in standard formats

9. College Administrator Responsibilities

Colleges deploying MyAbhyaash are responsible for:

• Informing students that the platform is used for academic monitoring
• Obtaining necessary consent from students or guardians
• Maintaining secure access to the admin dashboard
• Complying with local data protection laws

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any policy changes.
